This was the fourth of 12 pieces recorded in a single 2-hour session using a rented MIDI pickup and synthesizer. By this point in the session I appear to have entered a whimsical, but also increasingly juvenile and even tantrum-like state (which is understandable, given what was going on in my life at the time)—as if I am regressing into being a flailing child. I’ve had difficulty naming the piece, but the current name, ‘I Find This Completely Unacceptable,’ I now realize, expresses an interesting double identity: a child’s tantrum is unacceptable to the parent, but it is equally unacceptable to the child. So, while the name acknowledges that some listeners might react by saying, about this piece: “I find this completely unacceptable,” I’m also saying, by playing it in the first place: *I find this completely unacceptable* about my *life*. And I’m hoping that you, the listener, will somehow be able to share this frustration with me, in a way that is more satisfying for both of us than either of us experiencing it (i.e., life) alone.

An exceptional album, with cuts ranging from very good to superb. JP's lyrics and delivery are unique and interesting, and the other musicians all excellent. A mature album by a true live performer. Steven Rowat
You wonder why your relationships fail? You hate your father? Perhaps you would let someone with searingly tragic honesty reveal to you some of the ways those two things can be related? If so.... Steven Rowat
Global changes are displacing bodies and minds (think: Orlov's "Reinventing Collapse".) T.D. expresses both levels well, and he does so through music that is honest, enjoyable, and memorable. Steven Rowat
